A health-based driving ability assessment is used to determine how a person’s health or changes in functional ability affect safe driving. Driving ability is assessed in a practical driving situation with a driving instructor at the request of a doctor. The aim of the assessment is to obtain reliable information about driving ability and coping with traffic.

The price of a one-hour driving ability assessment is 235 € (incl. VAT 25.5 %).
The price includes pick-up within a maximum distance of 20 km from the center of Rovaniemi, a driving ability assessment, a written statement, and delivery of the statement to the person being assessed and the doctor.
The assessment is carried out in the driving school vehicle. A manual and automatic transmission passenger car and a C1 category vehicle are available.
- For pickups over 20 km, a fee of 1 €/km will be charged.
- The price of a driving ability assessment lasting more than an hour starts at 320 € (incl. VAT 25.5%).
- Driving ability assessments are carried out throughout Lapland.
